Clubs unite for safer roads

Nhill and District Sporting Club and the Horsham Demons joined forces on Saturday to highlight the devastating impact of road trauma and encourage safer choices behind the wheel.

The message was particularly timely, with August marking Rural Road Safety Month. A total of 1,325 people died on Australian roads in the 12 months to June 2026. During 2025, 906 lives were lost on rural roads—69 per cent of the national road toll.
