NHILL BOWLS CARNIVAL A SUCCESS

With perfect autumnal weather the Nhill Bowls club was able to hold another successful three day tournament carnival over the annual Labour Day weekend.

Excellent entries over the three days saw 230 bowlers take to the greens with the final two days hoisting the “full house” flag. The club is so appreciative of the support from all visitors (from near and far) and to the local bowlers who still patronise the three day carnival regardless of the weather and any other circumstances. Club President Terry Robins welcomed all bowlers each day with visitors coming from as far as Donald, Irymple, Koroit, Heywood, Belmont, Balmoral, Werribee, St. Leonards and surrounding Wimmera/Mallee areas. South Australian visitors included teams/bowlers from Bordertown, Mt. Gambier, Millicent, Kingston, Moonta and Mundulla.
