The Nhill and District Historical Society hosted John Deckert as guest speaker on Saturday afternoon at the Senior Citizens’ hall.
John began by letting everyone know that if they found his talk not to their liking, they could leave at anytime; this would not offend him. Well, once John started, not a soul moved from their seat. They were so intrigued with his adventures that they were on the edge of their seats waiting to hear how he could top each story of where he had been and who he had met along the way. We were all amazed at how he has fitted all these adventures into his life. John even donated books to the NDHS that he has helped put the historical/ information to and those that he has put together from information at the Historical Society. A great day was had by all. Thank you John Deckert for your time and generosity.
