The Nhill and District Sporting Club has come home victorious from Saturday’s Wimmera League Grand Final, with two premiership cups taking pride of place in the clubrooms.
Nhill’s Under 14 footballers started the day strong beating Ararat by 7 points (5-8-38 to 4-7-31). Best on ground was award to Ah Nee, with best players going to Lenny, Gay Soe, Douglas Phyo Phyo and Clayton. Under 14s Coach Jack Mason said, “The boys got off to a great start and were able to show incredible maturity to hold onto the lead in the last quarter. This win is a deserving reward for all their hard work and dedication that this playing group has put in over the last three years. I’m extremely proud of the boys.”
