Piggery Lane Profiles

Local primary school teacher Karen Prenzler is set to grace the stage as the understated yet intriguing Miss Sullivan in the Piggery Lane Players’ upcoming 1920s comedy, Dame Agatha’s Greatest Case, performing on 6 & 7 November at the Nhill Memorial Community Centre.

Playing the quiet travelling companion to amateur sleuth Dame Agatha Crustie, Prenzler promises there is more to her drab character than meets the eye. "If I had to describe Miss Sullivan in three words, it would be 'quietly, unassumingly rancorous'—or simply, 'don't underestimate her!'" laughs Prenzler. "My biggest challenge has definitely been mastering her monologues while keeping a completely expressionless face!"
