A memorable evening of tradition and celebration unfolded on Saturday night as 92 Year 11 students were presented at the annual Presentation Ball at Monivae College.
Presentation Balls, or debutante balls, have their origins in the United Kingdom, where they were once used to formally introduce young people into society. Today, they are widely regarded as a meaningful rite of passage, marking the transition into adulthood. For many families, the event is a significant milestone, bringing together parents, siblings, grandparents and friends in support of the students.
