On Saturday Nhill’s Karen community celebrated the 16th anniversary of the Nhill, Karen Water festival – paying respect to seniors and leaders in the community held at the Nhill Memorial Community Centre. The first ceremony in Nhill was held at Oo Kaw La and Moo Moo home 16 years ago when the Karen first came to Nhill. The Community Centre came alive with traditional practices, dance and delicious Karen food.
