This year marks a remarkable milestone for West Currie Consultants, as the locally owned accounting and advisory firm celebrates 50 years of servicing Edenhope and 30 years of Nhill and surrounding districts.
The story began when Don Currie, formerly a Tax Manager with Hungerfords in Melbourne, made the courageous decision to leave city life behind and purchase a small accounting practice in Edenhope in May 1976. At the age of 37, Don was considered too old to progress to partnership within the firm, so he instead chose to build a future for himself and his family in regional Victoria.
