Many people will be aware that the 100th Anniversary of the building and opening of the Kaniva Shire Hall will celebrated in 2028.
The Shire Hall, originally built as the Lawloit Shire Hall, was built to replace an ageing Lawloit Shire office. The Kaniva Shire Hall has been the focus for many community activities over the years, which have included weddings, funerals, dances and balls, concerts, public meetings, just to name a few. For many years, the offices in the Shire Hall were the administrative centre for the Kaniva Shire.
